Morning Reflection from the Sixth Years

Good Morning Everyone,

We hope you are keeping safe and well.  For this morning’s Reflection, we decided to look back on our very first Reflection this year. It read “Her Time”

“She has been feeling it for a while – that sense of awakening.

There is a gentle rage simmering inside her, and it is getting stronger by the day. She will hold it close to her – she will nurture it and let it grow.

She won’t let anyone take it away from her.

It is her rocket fuel and finally, she is going places.

She can feel it down to her very core – this is her time.

She will not only climb mountains – she will move them too.”

Little did we know what mountains we had to face, and what challenges we had on the horizon. Now more than ever, it is so important to show yourself kindness. To realise that this crisis is a challenge for everyone, everywhere. But that you are rising to it. Maybe you reached out to a friend, or reached out to a vulnerable person, or maybe you thanked your teachers for going the extra mile. Or perhaps you just kept on going, putting one foot in front of the other. After all this is a pandemic, not a productivity contest.

The girls who listened to that Reflection nine months ago, would have never imagined the way the world looked today, or thought that they would be able to weather such a storm. During this tragic time, we implore you not to be too hard on yourself. “Nevertheless she persisted”.

Happy Friday Everyone!

Kindest Regards,

All the 6th Years
