Spanish debating blitz at Rosemont Secondary School, Sandyford

On the 25th of April Hannah Kate, Jessica, Carrie and I competed in a Spanish debate in Rosemont school in Sandyford.  There were many schools there including Rockwell and St Micheal’s.  The motion for the night was “Los deberes deberían estar prohibidos en los colegios” which means: “Homework should be banned in schools.”  We were for this motion and had to argue why it should be banned.  We had speeches prepared and then we had to rebuttal in Spanish after.  We debated against Coláiste Pobail Setanta and we ended up winning!  It was such a fun night and great practice for our Spanish. Thank you so much to the Spanish teachers for arranging this amazing opportunity for us!
