Loreto Schools Virtual Camino Dé Santiago Challenge

The Loreto Schools Virtual Camino Dé Santiago Challenge is a virtual challenge that challenges teams of people to walk 771.4km from October 9th until November 6th 2020.   Participants track their progress using the My Virtual Mission app. They can also observe the progress of other teams within the Loreto community.

We are delighted that all of our 1st to 4th years are signed up.  In addition, the 5th year LCPE class, mixed senior groups, 6G and 6M and lots of staff and families are also signed up.

The Loreto Education Trust sent this inspiring message to all the Loreto Schools
“Thousands of students and staff from our Loreto educational community will walk ‘together even when apart’, and in doing so will celebrate our shared values and identity. We are also taking the lead from Mary Ward who bravely walked many difficult roads to ensure that her educational vision for young women became a reality. So in her honour ‘Do good and do it well’ on whatever road you take.
Enjoy the beauty of nature, the shared path with a friend or classmate, the uplifting joy of music, the peace of silence, a calming meditation, the wellness of exercise, the challenge….and remember that you are part of a larger Loreto family .
As you embark on this special journey, we ask you to walk with gratitude for the many blessings that you have in your lives.
Thank you to the Loreto Trust Sports Coordinator, Adam Douglas (Loreto Bray) for his excellent organisation and management of this exciting event! Thank you to all our sport & PE coordinators for their support and enthusiasm. Sr.Kathleen will be in touch along the way with messages and reflections.
We are delighted to sponsor this event and hope it will bring all of you much needed positivity and well-being.
Thank you for being part of the National Loreto Virtual Camino! Be safe, be wise and take care of each other on the way! “
