On 21st August 2019, the 96 members of the class of 2025 had our first day in Loreto College, St. Stephens Green.  We were greeted by Ms. Dempsey, Mr. Fitzgerald and our year head Ms. Smith.  Some 6th year students showed us to the Assembly Hall.  We were also introduced the Head Girl, Deputy Head Girl and Caomhnoir.   We met our 6th Year buddies and got our locker keys.  There was a lovely atmosphere around the school and everyone was very kind and helpful to us.

The next few days comprised of fun, team bonding activities and sports such as basketball dodgeball, gymnastics, rounders and team challenges.  We learnt about the House System and the importance of school spirit and then competed in an Inter House Dodgeball match.  The Gazelle and Tamarin Houses were joint winners.  Thank you to the PE and Sports Department for organising all of the activities. Everyone really enjoyed getting to know their class mates better.

We are all looking forward to the Loreto adventures that lie ahead.     Tori Cuddy (1G)
