Congratulations to the Minor Cross Country team who ran a wonderful race in the All Ireland Finals in Sligo last Saturday.  The girls posted a very strong set of results, led home by Siofra O’Mahony (1M) in a very credible 13th place.
The girls results saw them produce a particularly strong team run to secure 3rd overall and take home the bronze medal and a photograph with Olympian Sonia O’Sullivan. A wonderful team performance saw them finish on 54 points whilst 4th place were on 92 points.
Many months of hard training went into attaining such a result and the school would like to congratulate the girls on such a wonderful achievement.
The team was made up by Aoibh Brady (2M), Emma Goddard (1B), Ellen Leonard (1M), Siofra O'Mahony (1M), Caoimhe O’Reilly (1M), Ava Phelan-Oppermann (1T).  Maud O’Shea (1G) was also a member of the Minor team and helped secure qualification to the All Irelands but was unable to run at the weekend.
