Welcome to the Loreto College St. Stephen's Green Parents' Association. We are fortunate to have a vibrant and active Association. We welcome your input and suggestions on how we can continue to maintain, or even enhance, this level of commitment to the school.
The Association is made up of one representative from each class, giving 24 members. Also in attendance at meetings are the two elected parent representatives on the Board of Management and the school Principal.
Being involved in the Parents' Association means that each member is required to attend one meeting each month in the school.
The following are some of the activities in which the Parents’ Association is involved:
Organising information / social events for new parents to the school
Arranging talks on topics of interest to parents, e.g. guest speakers on parenting / discipline etc
Providing support / organisational input to major school events, e.g.6th year Graduation Mass, Pre Debs Reception
Channelling parents' views on school policy issues to the Principal / Board
Producing the Parents' Association newsletter – The Green Scene
Helping to organise and supervise extra-curricular activities
The Parents' Association is a wonderful organisation to be involved in so if you have some free time why not give some serious thought to coming on board.
Loreto College Parents' Association has its own Constitution, which states that each committee member serves a 3 year term of office. A copy of the Constitution is available on this site.
