Green Committee
The Green Committee was established in Loreto College in 2003 with the main goal of achieving the Green Flag for Loreto awarded by An Taisce.
In the past year the Committee has been working hard to achieve this goal. The committee consists of volunteers from every year group who meet weekly to organise a rota for the collection of recycling material and to plan innovative actions aimed at making Loreto on the Green 'greener'. Some of our projects to date have included setting up a successful re-cycling system. We re-cycle empty plastic bottles, clean dry paper and cardboard.
Our overall mission is to cultivate the climate of personal responsibility. We believe that the individual can make a difference.
