On Thursday the 29th of November we attended the Loreto Swimming Gala at the National Aquatic Centre in Blanchardstown. We went with a team of mostly first and second years. We had great representation for the competition. We had lots of individual events and of the swimmers who competed, three made it into a final and one went on to get third place in her event. We also had two relays, one in the U14 age group and another in the U16 age group. The U14 team made it into the final. We were ranked first going in but we knew we would have to put a Personal Best on the board if we wanted to beat the other teams. After a great race we came out on top and became the U14 relay champions. We were thrilled. We got a plaque and we all got medals. The day was full of excitement and school spirit and it was a great day out of competition and fun.
Thank you to Ms. Hoffman for organising the day for us and to Ms. Kinkaid and Ms. Crinion for accompanying us.
