Table Quiz in support of the Kenya Immersion Programme

Table Quiz in support of the Kenya Immersion Programme

There will be a table quiz in the school canteen on Thursday 26th September 2013 at 8pm.  Entry for a team of 4 will cost €40.  It is being organized by the 5th year group of 20 girls who are going on the 5th immersion trip to Kenya on 18th October 2013.  The purpose of the quiz is to raise some money to buy badly needed resources for the orphanage in Karen and nursery school in Kangemi, (both situated in Nairobi), as well as for Nyumbani Village, Kitui (where there are 1000 orphans). The girls will be working in 2 of these locations for their fortnight away. They hope to buy stationery, cd players, tin whistles, Art and craft materials, skipping ropes, footballs and pumps, card games etc. to bring with them.

Refreshments will be served at the half way stage! Raffle tickets will also be on sale for some prizes.

We hope you will support this very worthwhile cause.  In order that we have some idea of how many to expect on the night, perhaps you could let Ms Smith know via your daughter, if you hope to attend.

Some photos showing the types of items the girls bring with them, may be viewed above.
